Update June 2020

I hope all of you and your families are well and enduring this difficult time when so many people are suffering physical, economic and emotional challenges.

Those of us who attended the 50th reunion of the Class of 1965 were fortunate to spend time sharing memories,  rediscovering  old friends and reminiscing about our days at Central High. As life gets more complicated, it was nice to remember and appreciate  simpler times.

Our reunion was so successful that more than a thousand dollars remained after all expenses were paid. Dorothy Kuflik Budin and I placed the money in an account at a local bank with the intention of using it for the 55th reunion.

Since no 55th is being planned we, along with other committee members, decided  that there was no sense in having the funds sit dormant when there is so much need in the community.  We closed the account and donated it to United Neighborhood Centers, a charity that does wonderful work and is located on Olive Street, just around the corner from Central High.

I hope you will feel as good about this as we do. Stay safe!

Sincerely,
Natalie Gelb
